C'mon Summer!

I can't take a dip in our pool. Weather's crazy, whenever it's hot, our pool is dirty, but when it's clean, the weather's cold..*sigh... Can't wait to hit the beach & surf or play volleyball or go biking...(an exercise too!)
Speaking of volleyball, we went to Redondo Beach last Sunday to join the church's volleyball team...It's been 2 years I haven't play the sport. And it's challenging becoz we're playing on sand..Back in the Manila, I used to play on concrete or rubber surfaces... But it's alright, at least I could dive without knee pads and without hurting myself. :D
I also wanted to practice body-boarding or boogie boarding to others since my husband, who is good on body-boarding, teaching me how.. Last time I surf, the waves almost took my bikini bottom off! It also took one of my flippers away from my foot.. Good thing a guy saw it & threw into the shore...I yelled "that's mine!" :D This time I'll surf at Redondo or Hermosa Beach first where the waves aren't as big as in Manhattan Beach. :D

The Prayer Room

It's the Prayer Room at South Bay Community Church...helds every first Friday of the month. We've done 3 prayer nights already, started last February. :D This is an opportunity to encounter God in different ways: praying, singing, worshiping, music, communion, quiet time, journaling, etc.
Feels good actually...especially seeing people are blessed.
It was adapted from a church in Kansas doing a 24/7 prayer-worship since 1999. http://theprayerroom.tv/
It's amazing how they do it.. for almost a decade now, singing, playing music, worshiping God for 24 hrs, 7 days a week...how are they paying their electric bills? hehe :D But many people are blessed even it's online streaming..How powerful are such small media nowadays...

Band In The Making

Last Dec 2006, me & Alvin & some of our church friends did an EP recording in our friend's mini studio in Greenhills, Manila. It's a unique package, an enhanced EP that's when loaded up in the computer, you could view some of our gig photos, behind the scenes video, lyric sheets, & even desktop wallpapers :D hehe...
It's hard to compile the CD though. That time Alvin's back in Cali, & I'm still in the Philippines. My computer's working crazily overtime everyday (thankfully it didn't hanged or crashed), downloading the files from Alvin in able to incorporate in the CD, not to mention my internet connection, I'm using wireless btw...also known as Slooooow....
After 2 weeks we did it! Final package is done! I can say it's not the best recording. The technicals are still be needing improvements, especially we only did 2 days or practice before the recording. But as a demo CD, it's good already. :D Check out www.myspace.com/alvinong for the mp3s. :D

LA Kings vs. Dallas Stars

Last Saturday, we went to watch NHL at the Staples Center... this time we got VIP seats. I could watch closely especially it's hockey where the puck is very difficult to follow. :D Too bad LA lose to Dallas 7-2.
It's amazing how The Staples Center convert the arena from basketball court to football arena to an ice hockey rink..especially making the court into ice :D

Geico!!

Weather's cold these pass few months. We can't surf at the beach, can't swim in our pool. But spring's coming, last week the weather's kind of warm.. so we thought of getting a dip, but to our surprise, my husband found a dead gecko under the pool...
Poor creature, he might have slipped from the pool gutter & can't get out of it..plus the water's cold that time..

I Can't Believe It!

MMmmm...this stuff is so yummy, especially paired with hot pandesal (dinner rolls) & brewed coffee. Not too greasy compare to butter, it's lite... & it has a long name, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter margarine :D yumyum... I suddenly feel hungry again... :p~

Las Vegas Trip 2008

At last I've been to the famous Sin City! The lights, casinos, hotels, the shows, limos, the weather is killing us! Shopping is the first thing we did. We came across to a store, & I discover a mannequin that's so "unique" I may describe it. :D Check it out! And he's smiling!!

I've changed my header to The Litter Box b'coz I can input whatever inspires me & also parallels to Furry Feline, which is my portfolio name. (http://furryfeline.multiply.com) Well, the sound of it is cute but the litter box literally means when a cat or dog wanted to.. uhm... relief itself, you know...doing their business in a box.. The same concept why I name this site as The Litter Box. Not so cute huh? But that's it.

Go! LA!!

Watching teams of LA live in Staples Center is superb..besides getting VIP tickets with parking passes, we could get freebies too! There's arena football where LA & New Orleans faced off. LA won of course. At the Honda Center in Anaheim, Ducks vs. Minnesota, but nah..they lose to wild by 2 goals. Then NBA, The Clippers won to Sacramento by a whopping 30 pts! At last, i got the chance to see LA Lakers, playing against The Clippers, this time Clippers got the world turned around. They lose to Lakers with 30 pts. too! hehehe!..What do you expect? It's Lakers, obviously the better team. :D
When I look back, I only watch those in TV, but now it's live! It's a great experience. :D

Part-time Sosi

My first part time job as law office clerk along Wilshire - Palm Drive, Beverly Hills. I've started on Oct.1, 2007 without any experience as a clerk. The job is, honestly, not so ok for me. Although it's nice to work in a law office, but a job like this is a little confusing, esp without an exp like me. Comparing to regular office clerk, law office clerks have to had ideas on laws & its procedures & know how to fill up documents carefully, esp if it's to be submitted to the sheriff or to the court. As for me.. *blek* zero knowledge. I have no problems in communicating but the thing is you have to know what are you asking from these & that. If they say one legal terminology, I was like.."huh? Writ of what?". But in fairness, I little bit enjoyed my 2-week work in office. (at least i lasted 2 weeks hehe) :D and they paid me every last day of the week. ;)

Ah! American Soil!

it's been 2 weeks since i arrived here in US.. ah! american soil at last! after 3 visas expirations! hihihi...exactly, it's aku buboy's bday! the next day, we celebrated his bday together with my cousins & sis..marami na kami dito! >:)....then after, me & alvin went to Harvest Festival, a christian event in anaheim stadium..very awesome & very am blessed despite of the cool breeze. got to watch Leeland & POD live

surprisingly, im not jetlagged after a 12-hour direct flight from manila. good thing i haven't slept that day becoz im finishing something before i left. i would really miss my room..my bed...my pillows...my teeny weeny table wer i used to do graphics in my computer, that gives me backaches...my nephew, adrian, who always bugs me at night...my green lamp...my coca cola blankee....my night light...the corolla car that always have mechanical problems...my boxing gloves...going to gym...the church...worship team...friends esp the close ones...my cat, dotie...

im pretty enjoying my stay here in states. i went walking around the neighborhood, familiarizing the place. but most of the time, alvin drives me to places. went jogging every morning at the nearby park, went to grocery with my uncle & my cousins, went to alvin's office & hang out at the Century City beside his office, stayed at Borders, a huge bookstore with lotsa graphic books...ate real burgers & real fries..mmMMmmm....went body-surfing at the Hermosa Beach...walastik the waves! make strip off my bikinis! hihihi

I know this is from last year...but I'm amazed of how this fish turned out after cooking. A hearty meat for a hearty day for our hearty lunch. :D

Halo-halo & Dimsum Delight

It's very very hot these days! You just wanna eat a gallon-size halo-halo...plus.. to make your eating a little dynamic, let's combine it with beef siomai...of course, the fast-food crew would include the toyomansi & the chilli sauce..
I don't know if the chilli got spilled, or the fast food chain is experiencing supply shortage.. hihihi :D

CBCP 20th Anniversary 2007

At last! it is finished! hihi :D Last April 1, 2007.. our church celebrated it's 20th anniversary at the Henry Irwin Lee Theater at Ateneo de Manila University ;) lot of hard work & time we've spend for this special event ;) especially for us musicians..it's cramming time! we've started practicing on the 1st wk of march..& we have 3 wks to master all the songs! & they didn't even gave us the study CDs! but by God's grace.. we pulled it off... hayy...The event was great! all the prepareations were executed perfectly ;) people were blessed!
I noticed among one banner, which was displayed beside me.."there's something wrong with the 3 elements below the layout..is that marijuana leaves??" hihih :D

Mc Muni Muni....

i use to had my breakfast at Mc Donald's every thursday morning...(becoz of color-coding, i have to leave early) last oct 26, while waiting for the time... i was sooo bored... so, i count the cars that passes along wilson street... grabe! in only 30 minutes, i counted 80 honda cars! most of them are CRV's & civic. Ang pinaka marami..Toyota! I counted 120 cars most of them are innovas & altis! HAHAHA! Innovas everywhere! :D Talagang walang magawa na! ganun kami ka-bored! hihi..! ;)

GOSPEL JAM 2006!!

GOSPEL JAM 2006, it's a celebration of what God has done in our lives thru music, dancing, singing, & even acting! happening every sunday night at 6.30-8.30 at the Center For Arts along timog ave. in front of caltex & GMA 7.

Im so blessed when i first heard about the event..ive been in this kind if ministry before when i was still studying in college..but this one is better becoz it has segments & testimonials, parang talk show ang dating! ;)

ROCKESTRA II

Last Aug 18, my friend & i got the chance to watch Rockestra 2 at The Folk Arts Theater. With the Manila Symphony Orchestra, 6 rocking bands performed their famous hits: 6 cyclemind, urbandub, hale, up dharma down, itchyworms, & the dawn! They all ROCK! Even the 'jolog' songs.. gumanda pare! Iba talaga pag may professional arrangement.. although the place is not air-conditioned as expected, we all enjoyed the show, even the appearance of jon santos, este, tita mids, which the show becomes a little comedy :D
We'll definitely watch part 3 next year! :D

it's sticky hot!

after 16 years, i went to cotabato to celebebrate my grandma's 90th bday. everything's stil the same, the house, the rooms, the antiques, the water bed, except for the pool table & the mainas were no longer there ;) hehe...march 31 ive arrived there, GOSH! it's also sticky juicy hot in the city! but it's ok, ive got to color my hair, had a manicure & pedicure for free! (my mom's a share-holder at david's salon :)) "i-charge nlng kay donya~~"hahaha!
then the next day, relatives from davao & cebu arrived! ayan! siksikan na sa bahay! wohoo! (imagine having 12 aunts & uncles including their kids & apos)
april 2, the party was superb! pinaka masayang party! everybody enjoyed it, even mga barkada ni amah.. (may barkada pa si amah?!) and..my mum insist me to play drums, on the spot! my gulay! i'm in a dress & heels! i didn't brought my stix! first, she asked me to play solo.. but i said baka hindi ma-appreciate ni amah.. maingay kasi.. so since my uncle invited a band from davao, i've made arrangement with them.. (step aside drummer!) hahaha! it's great! i managed to play without sabit, (we've played 'dancing queen'...good thing i'm also listening to disco) afterwards, everybody went to the dance floor! swing swing! \:D/
too bad i wasn't able to go to davao... (swimming sana sa beach) becoz of work! have to be back asap... darn work! o well, next time..
