Mavie @ 5 Months
My son have started eating solids now, he's actually approaching his 6th month this week... time flies. The next thing we know he's celebrating his first birthday. :)
I'm grateful that he is not that difficult to handle unlike other kids who always cry whenever you leave them with other person or they always wanted to be carried. Many say he's so mellow, especially in public, always a people-watcher, observing things around him. Such a happy baby :)
But the only challenge is he's a bit difficult to put to sleep at night. You have to pretend sleeping too then he'll follow.

Time flies really fast!
It is indeed. It's already February & my son's going to be 4 months! Next time we know he's sitting up, rolling over, standing, walking, & running! :)
It's very tiring especially every time he wakes up at dawn... but it's fun! Right now he's learning to sit, he always leans toward to look at his colorful socks.
In few months he's going to celebrate his first birthday. That would be 10/10/10 :)
Here's few of his photos I took recently. The first one was after taking a bath. Next, daddy's feed time. Last was when he's up at 2am, while feeding, every time daddy pulls out the bottle, he smiles.

Sweet Child O'Mine - baby Mavie
In the 2nd week of October, I was getting ready for the baby, his crib, blankees, sheets, diapers, wipes, etc. My due date was actually Oct. 14. Last Thursday, I was working at my workstation, retyping my mom's recipes in the computer, sudden feeling of PMS. I wonder how come I feeling where I'm already pregnant. So I called my friend & ask her why I'm feeling like menstrual pain. She said I'm actually having contractions! I thought contractions happens on the tummy itself. She said that it depends. Usually it's under the tummy, sometimes at the back or thighs.
By that Thursday evening, the pain was getting tremendous, I can't sleep properly. I woke up every 2 hours. Then Friday morning, the contractions are getting closer to each other like 6-10 minutes apart. So my hubby & I went to the hospital.
We got there, they put on gadgets around my tummy to monitor the baby's heartbeat & the contractions... then they checked my cervix, it opened only 3cm. They asked me to walk around the hospital for at least an hour or 2. When we get back, still 3cm. So they asked to go home & observe.
That afternoon at 4, the pain was getting intensely. Until 8:30pm, the interval was getting 5 minutes apart. We decided to go back to the hospital. They checked me again, it was 4cm. I was admitted until the following morning.
I transferred to the delivery room, still waiting. They checked again, still 4cm. I was told to breathe through the contractions for the cervix to open up. But the pain was so tremendous! I've asked for epidural. After having the anesthesia, I slept until 10am the following morning. They checked again, it was 9cm! Wow! But we still waited. I slept again until 12nn, again they checked me, I was fully dilated +2! I was ready to push!
It's very hard to push at first. The feeling was like I wanted to go poop. Then eventually the head was there! The nurse told me to hold it & wait for the doctor. Omigosh!! Hold it?!? Darn! It's already past 5 minutes, the doctor wasn't there! "I can't hold it!"
The doctor arrived. I was still holding it... I pushed 4x, & voila! Out came the baby! Whew!
Baby Mavie came out at 1:36pm. He was 7.2 lbs, 20" long. My hubby was in tears, according to some nurses when the baby came out.. LOL
Wow! At last, everything's ok... the baby's ok. I'm ok too, at least I won't be having buldging belly until my next pregnancy.
I posted all photos at my Facebook & Multiply sites.
I'll be posting more photos & follow-ups from the baby. :)

It's the Final Countdown!!
It's been a while I haven't post any blog here... Been busy arranging the house, from baby shower to cleaning & mom will be arriving soon so we have to ready everything.
Few weeks to go, the little rockstar will be born! I'm a little nervous but also excited to see what the little looks like... :) But I'm sure he's going to be a pretty boy :->
I'll be posting photos once the baby arrived... :)

Fall 2008
Last Fall til Winter was the coldest I've experienced so far since I got here last 2007. Usual morning routine, woke up early, get dress & hurry to the bus stop. It was very gloomy on a 7am. As I hurried to the bus stop, it was very foggy street I can barely see the traffic lights & cars. I also experience foggy street when we're going back home from my uncle's place at 2am. It was very veeery foggy from the freeway to the side streets. We can't see a thing on the road even around us. Good thing there were no cars around that time.

Shake Shake!
It's been a very very interesting week. Been busy in school, going to hospital for check-ups, house chores... Last Sunday, May 17, 8.39pm was very freaky... when I'm doing the laundry & my hubby plans to put the photo frames on our jamming room. We were discussing how it should be look like when suddenly the ground shook & the toys in our shelves starts to fall down. Omigosh! An earthquake! It's actually 4.7 magnitude but it's pretty strong 'cause of the epicenter was near our city, just few miles north. Few aftershocks followed that.
We thought everything's okay when on Tuesday afternoon, May 19, another quake shook the ground. This time it's a 4.1 at the same epicenter as was last Sunday... o_o I was home alone that time & I started to freaked out! I was about to do the laundry again when it happened. I started to worry the ceiling fan above my head would fall down, but i might catch it with the laundry basket I'm holding. They said it was an aftershock from the Sunday's quake.
It's really scary the first time I've experience 2 earthquakes in 2 days time. The last time I've felt the strongest was back in 1990 in my home country where everything shook pretty good, thankfully our house is still intact. The epicenter that time was in the northern area where everything was really devastated & many died.
