It's very very hot these days! You just wanna eat a gallon-size halo-halo...plus.. to make your eating a little dynamic, let's combine it with beef siomai...of course, the fast-food crew would include the toyomansi & the chilli sauce..
I don't know if the chilli got spilled, or the fast food chain is experiencing supply shortage.. hihihi :D

CBCP 20th Anniversary 2007

At last! it is finished! hihi :D Last April 1, 2007.. our church celebrated it's 20th anniversary at the Henry Irwin Lee Theater at Ateneo de Manila University ;) lot of hard work & time we've spend for this special event ;) especially for us musicians..it's cramming time! we've started practicing on the 1st wk of march..& we have 3 wks to master all the songs! & they didn't even gave us the study CDs! but by God's grace.. we pulled it off... hayy...The event was great! all the prepareations were executed perfectly ;) people were blessed!
I noticed among one banner, which was displayed beside me.."there's something wrong with the 3 elements below the layout..is that marijuana leaves??" hihih :D

Mc Muni Muni....

i use to had my breakfast at Mc Donald's every thursday morning...(becoz of color-coding, i have to leave early) last oct 26, while waiting for the time... i was sooo bored... so, i count the cars that passes along wilson street... grabe! in only 30 minutes, i counted 80 honda cars! most of them are CRV's & civic. Ang pinaka marami..Toyota! I counted 120 cars most of them are innovas & altis! HAHAHA! Innovas everywhere! :D Talagang walang magawa na! ganun kami ka-bored! hihi..! ;)

GOSPEL JAM 2006!!

GOSPEL JAM 2006, it's a celebration of what God has done in our lives thru music, dancing, singing, & even acting! happening every sunday night at 6.30-8.30 at the Center For Arts along timog ave. in front of caltex & GMA 7.

Im so blessed when i first heard about the event..ive been in this kind if ministry before when i was still studying in college..but this one is better becoz it has segments & testimonials, parang talk show ang dating! ;)

ROCKESTRA II

Last Aug 18, my friend & i got the chance to watch Rockestra 2 at The Folk Arts Theater. With the Manila Symphony Orchestra, 6 rocking bands performed their famous hits: 6 cyclemind, urbandub, hale, up dharma down, itchyworms, & the dawn! They all ROCK! Even the 'jolog' songs.. gumanda pare! Iba talaga pag may professional arrangement.. although the place is not air-conditioned as expected, we all enjoyed the show, even the appearance of jon santos, este, tita mids, which the show becomes a little comedy :D
We'll definitely watch part 3 next year! :D

it's sticky hot!

after 16 years, i went to cotabato to celebebrate my grandma's 90th bday. everything's stil the same, the house, the rooms, the antiques, the water bed, except for the pool table & the mainas were no longer there ;) hehe...march 31 ive arrived there, GOSH! it's also sticky juicy hot in the city! but it's ok, ive got to color my hair, had a manicure & pedicure for free! (my mom's a share-holder at david's salon :)) "i-charge nlng kay donya~~"hahaha!
then the next day, relatives from davao & cebu arrived! ayan! siksikan na sa bahay! wohoo! (imagine having 12 aunts & uncles including their kids & apos)
april 2, the party was superb! pinaka masayang party! everybody enjoyed it, even mga barkada ni amah.. (may barkada pa si amah?!) and..my mum insist me to play drums, on the spot! my gulay! i'm in a dress & heels! i didn't brought my stix! first, she asked me to play solo.. but i said baka hindi ma-appreciate ni amah.. maingay kasi.. so since my uncle invited a band from davao, i've made arrangement with them.. (step aside drummer!) hahaha! it's great! i managed to play without sabit, (we've played 'dancing queen'...good thing i'm also listening to disco) afterwards, everybody went to the dance floor! swing swing! \:D/
too bad i wasn't able to go to davao... (swimming sana sa beach) becoz of work! have to be back asap... darn work! o well, next time..

WORLD Pyrolympics 2005... this one was presented by Philippines... so ASTEG!! this was the longest sparks that lasted almost a minute! i think they've used hundreds of flare gun for this one! yayayayay! 

WORLD Pyrolympics 2005.....how did i get there? well, i really really want to watch the event, so i've asked people from church band to my close friends, none of them are available, some have gone there already.. :( then i've learned that ferdy, one of my good buddies in church, wanted go too..so ive texted him.. yes! he's willing to fetch me then go together! at least i dont need to drive :D but.. have to ride on a scooter! hahaha! i thought he was joking.. fetching me with a scooter...then he'll lend me his pink helmet...it was my first time to ride a scooter from my place to macapagal highway! haha! that's another breakthrough for me! good thing we rode it, coz the traffic was very uber terrible! we could easily go thru the jam! hahaha! it was fun, scary at first hehehe... btw this is another pix of the show...good thing have a camera phone :D  

WORLD Pyrolympics 2005....last dec 29 & 30, i went to esplanade, just behind the mall of asia to see the world pyrolympics competition... it was so....BEAutiful!! each country would present a 20mins. firework display...yeah it's a looong display, although your necks & backs hurt, you would still watch with awe & with oohh's & aah's,,hehhee....it was fun... especially on how i got there in the first place... hahaha! :D  

is it me or they just suck?

i know i work 6x a week from 9-6pm, all day in front of the computer. (sometimes i work in 2 computers, & thank God for the new secretary) editing photos of various weddings, advertisings, beauty eds, & fashion eds... i also do side projects & planning to put up my own lil biz... pansin ko lang sa sarili ko, i want more projects to add up to my income...but when i got one... we do the usuals, meet with the client & getting into the biz, sometimes my boss would give me extra projects from his clients that would want a graphic layout...that's good...but as it progress, you present the first draft, lotsa additions & revisions, minsan thay would say:"meron pa bang ibang samples?" that means they didn't like the design much... hehe that's ok.. sometimes they're too abusive to the fact na nagiging 5th, 6th, or to the nth revisions.. especially when they're too fickle-minded! waaa... gusto kong umiyak sa inis! but, why i do get angry or frustrated? in the first place i want to have this projects but i complain a lot!
lately, i realized, as graphic artist, we had to have moooree patience... (basta magbayad lang ng tama yun client..) instead of going burserk over annoying clients...let's do what they want.. (& after, wag na silang kunin as clients. hehehe jok lng) after all, walang mangyayari if i still complain or become frustrate over them... ika nga, if you can't beat them, join them! hahaha!
so now, i'm trying this thing " be-a-happy-pasensiosa-worker" wag na natin patulan ang level ng mentality nila...there's nothing we could do about it... be thankful nalng na mas matalino tayo, kasi hindi nila kaya mag render sa computer! O DVA? taray nu? peace, dude!
same thing i felt about my boss....i used to get mad at him... i don't even want to see his shadow... but ano pa ba ang magagawa ko, eh studio nya yun pinagtratrabahuan ko hiihihiii...
it took many factors that push me to buy my DSLR....until i thought, maybe my boss could teach me how to use it! o dva? crash course agad! & he told that when buy accessories for my cam, he would make me 3rd photographer to shoot at his weddings.. (extra racket nanaman!!)
too bad my cam's at the Canon ofc... the master board had defects..worse, no warranty! my gosh! ive asked the seller if i could return it to him... it's very risky if it broke in the future.. (remember no warranty) & owning a DSLR is VERY EXPENSIVE, DUDE! but good thing i've found another buyer that could sell it to me at 50k w/ 512mb CF card, & a tripod...not bad for a set.. plus when you purchase a EOS 350D, you have a 2-day free photo sessions at DPI! ;)

drained...

recently i feel so drained that my back starts to ache... i'm doing 2 jobs at once... our secretary was terminated the past week so i take the calls. (thankfully i dont entertain wedding clients) plus, annoying clients butting in for they're photos...(ang kukulit kamu!) they wanted they're photos to be ready by monday... it's friday, i didn't even start a single photo... plus the my PC's down... the MAC is terribly slow... i can't even rely on the lounge comp...phew! have no choice but to use the slowmo MAC. good thing...that afternoon, my PC's was delivered, & has a brand new mama board... yes! but have to process 700+ photos for the freakin client... last sat, besides being alone, hungry, & with the sticky weather, i finished the photos with 3 hrs overtime...
but, the reward is good.. i got my brand new SLR.. plus ive bought the Chronicles of Narnia 7 in 1 book for only P655!! woohoo! ive got to read first the story before seeing the movie this december...

last nov 13, my colleague's band done their first demo CD. at least we have a material to submit to radio stations & bars... even sell them every gigs! hehehe... the sounds, mixing, & mastering was good for a demo... (although a little 'sablay' in vocals hehhe)

the biggest battle of the bands ever! weekly elims are every friday. whoever wins, bags the P20k then qualified to regional...P100k.. then nationals...P500k+trip to london for the world finals...last sept.9, ! ratsky, tomas morato, qc, we competed with 6 other bands...it's the most superb perfomance done by the band...cool production from the lights, sounds & of course,,, kick-ass get-ups! everybody's bet that our band will win that night... including a punk band.."dude, dapat kayo panalo ngayon!" guess who won? a showband! tadah! it's Japan Battle of the Bands! who the heck would qualify such band to be sent to UK? baka naman batuhin lng sila dun! i mean c'mon! sa logo pa lang, pang rock rockan na dba? then they'll choosing a band that sounds like:"laki sa layaw laki sa layaw, jeprox!" duh? or:"panahon na para magsaya! porget ko na ang problema!" i thought they wanted a new & uniquely sound band? eto lang...they didn't want a grassroot, they wanted a "talahib" hahaha! o well... that's the prove of stupidity among judges.... i duno want happen.. must be some politics is happening again...the MAN truly ruined the lil thing called ROCK n ROLL...hahaha!  

instant 'mami'

last sunday i went to a wedding expo @ the nbc tent, the fort with my friends, who are planning to put up an events management biz...actually i wasn't planning to go at first... becoz i went to an expo last year when i start working (since my job is involved with weddings) so i assume all the displays & exhibits are the same.... & i'm tired of looking at wedding pictures.. i see them everyday!! nakakasawa ba... ;) but one of my friends, which is my discipler, kept on insisting me to go with them....for me it's fine...especially i could go in for free.. but... i must register in the "SOON-TO-BE-WED" list!! why? one of their partners haven't register earlier & he has to pay for the entrance...but he could get a free access if he's engaged...the problem is.. he has no fiancee or even a GF...so, since almost all the girls in our cell group were taken or were already married, they have no option but to pick me!! ABA! instant fiancee ba!? and it happened.... (proxy! hihi)

why do pinoy colleagues always count on me whenever they have something to say to the boss?...just becoz the boss is chinese, im chinese...just 1 wink we could understand each at once? or are they shy to approach him that they make me the "bridge"? or simply im the human shield whenever the boss would go ballistic, it'll fall on me?! (yeah baby slap me harder! it feels soo good!) it happened also to my previous job...darn!
but this time, when we found out that tomorrow's a non-working day, this person ask me to text our boss...& he replied:"C U on tues.." of course we're delighted of his response! i also asked my friends to confirm..."no Work!"
on that so-called holiday, he texted me again saying this holiday is not for private companies, give me proof...blah blah! obviously he went berserk...on me..
why is he mad at me? while i got the confirmation from one whose responsible?? (think about this, in a company or whatever business..when you have queries, questions, or confirmations, who would you approach? creatives ba??)
then this morning ive found out in my timecard, my aug29 was marked X while others, naka-checked! wow! sino hindi maiinis dyan?? ako pa may kasalanan na nalito siya?? ako daw nagdeclare ng holiday...ako daw nagpasimuno...eh mga @#$#%$% pala e, ako ba nagsabi sa goberyno na walang pasok sa lunes?? sino ba talaga yun totoong magulo ang utak??

5-day nerves

last week was very nerve-wrecking...first, there's our "makulet" na client..they're very fickle-minded that almost everyday i revise the layouts, burn them in cd, then send them, til next morning they'll call & ask for another copy, & another, & another.. we spent at least 4 cds for them... & all of them are the same content! then last thurs, while waiting for the time.. one of them called me on my cell asking if we could meet next morning to finalize the layouts nefore she leaves.. so i agreed.. the next day, while i drove to their office at ortigas.. ive been halted my MMDA & was ticketted...again.. hayyy.... he said im reckless & disregard the rules...& should pay P650 & attend the seminar for 3days! i said that if i could attend only one session & retrieve my license coz i have work...but he doesn't sure if they could allow that.. i noticed that there's something else he wants.. hmmm $_$.. well he recognizes im chinese..hehe.. u know what im talking about...but i refuse to.. u know...(pang merienda ko rin yun a!) i said:"ok lang manung, san ba opisina nyo?" after the long chat.. he finally omitted my reckless offense & put only the disregarding thingy.. that makes P150 from me...(good thing also that i'm well-dressed that time, maybe the charm;))
o well, saturday! last day of work! but im quite not in the mood for work, so instead i play flash games, done some backups for the files, deleting trash from the hard drive & defrag it...of course ive finished a wedding so that my boss would not suspect im doing nothing... ;) i went out @ 12nn to buy a UPS for my comp at home... so i bought it from gilmore & went to the ladies' room the other building.. i didn't notice that the escalator was one way. usually escalators are 2way ryt? anyway, after i finished, i got onto the escalator.. before i step in, i noticed something's wrong...why people are going against me? hmm... then i stepped in & muntik na ako mahulog! ay! paakyat pala yun escalator! ;P eww! that's embarrassing! the worse, there's a guy who saw it! & he smiled! :D waheheh! i said:"oops! sorry! sleepy lang!" :D hehe....

news rocks the church

all are shocked, all have no clues why such thing happened just like that, in a blink on an eye... two lives, full of joy, full of dreams & inspirations, are gone...
why would some people do like that.. i mean they just get the money & ran...but still they shot them...the worse, the news is claiming P5M withdrawal which is absolutely not true! they should not publicize such details that could make the filipino-chinese community in real danger! that could make more criminals would do these things--> easy killing for easy money..
this place is getting worse, stinky, & disgusting everyday... there no safe place anymore... even in resorts, there's theft, in gyms, there's theft.. even u park your car in front of your house & u wake up in the morning, it's gone!

sun explosion

huuuuu! it's very very sticky hot this summer! especially at our studio, it's so sahara inside! feel like we're in a microwave ready to pop like popcorn! even the aircon's highest thermostat cannot penetrate the heat! :-SS...so i wear spag straps & sleeveless almost everyday! but it's good thing about summer is traffic's a breeze especially in mornings... i could get to work in less than 40mins! :-o
speaking of the sun, i also notice losta people now subscribing SUN cellular! becoz of its unlimited call & text 24/7 (just like JR's saying) you could get a free nokia celfone too! cool huh? i know lotsa people have 2 celfones already.. so im a lil confused where to text them.. & the funside of it, all of them could text using both thumbs & send msgs at the same time.. how ambi is that? hehehehe.. ;)
